We had some issues getting nurse mare foals Registered last year (2022) due to APHA’s new rules that came into effect on January 1, 2022. All registered paint horses must be DNA tested including sires and dams. Mares are gone to the leased farm for 6-8 months, the leasing farm is not responsible for pulling DNA test hair. However, when the mare returns to its owner, we are able to request a hair sample. It is the responsibility of the adoptee to request a mare's hair sample for DNA testing at a charge of $100.00.
*Note that the mares are not available for 6-8 months, the leasing farm is not responsible for pulling DNA test hair. However then the mare returns a hair sample can gotten.
As President of this operation, I have made the decision on foals that come with transfer/ registration papers that they will be sold grade until DNA confirmation on Dam and Sire has been checked out.
At that time if you wish to purchase the papers arrangements can be made with either myself or one of our staff members.
We understand that sometimes things come up and you need to find a good home for your foal or livestock. We have options to help you.
Purchase buyback on foals: When buying a foal back we understand you have put money and time into your foal so when it comes to purchasing them we will only pay up to fair market value once foal has been evaluated.
